Brief: To design a CD cover for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra using  6 images that we had to resize.  Photoshop and Indesign used.

Technology 3 | 09 Drawing with Type.

Select a famous speech or nursery rhyme, draw an illustration relating to it, scan it.  In Illustrator, trace the illustration and then using "Type on a Path"tool, recreate the illustration with words.

Technology 3 | 08 Producing a Flyer

Produce a flyer that promotes your city/local area.

Using Illustrator to create the map, photoshop to work with the photos and Indesign to combine it all together.

Technology 3 | 10 Photo Word Composition

Aim: To familiarise yourself with using a digital camera, downloading images and using Photoshop to adjust images.  Notes:  I applied a Gaussian Blur and drop shadow to each letter.  This was a fun activity.  It is amazing the letters that can be found around you.  Look around you and see what letters you can see!  Can you guess my word?

Technology 3 | 07 Tracing a Map.

In this exercise we had to trace and create a map of Tasmania.  Managing layers was a part of this exercise as well.  Fonts used: Beauregard and Oriya MN.

Scanner Story - A Quilter's Journey

Often begins with an idea.  Then comes the planning, collection of fabrics (rummaging the stash and  of course some new additions!), cutting , piecing, sewing, layering, quilting, binding and enjoying.

My favourite bit would be the hand quilting, especially on a cold winter's night, surrounded by my family watching TV.

Playing around with Blogger.com more today.  Found some things, that I wondered how I had missed the first time....mind you I clicked on heaps more buttons to see what they did! All so new to this new blogger!  So much to absorb! :)

Hi and welcome!
My name is Elissa. I have been living down in beautiful Tassie now for 4 years with my husband and our 2 kids.  Wow, time sure goes fast!!!  Guess you notice the passage of time, when your children start getting taller than you!!! Another member of our family is our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Morris.  He is a boy who loves outings - whether it be a walk or a ride in the car.
I am looking forward to learning heaps of new things during the Cert 3 in Graphic Pre-press course this year.
